after our first encounter, i waited 40+ minutes for rafa to return from kennedy town and find me in the middle—such a huge gamble; his tram could’ve gone for maintenance or taken a different route—and yet, he did. when he said he’d chase me to the ends of the earth, he meant it.

still couldn’t believe my eyes. a fleeting 1:165 chance, yet you still came to find me, as if you knew. across lifetimes, across universes. rafa, i will never tire of waiting and searching for you too, in every sky and sea, in every lifetime, until all roads lead you back to me.

almost hyperventilated from shock. i had passed by a pink tram the day before (after waiting for over 1.5 hours) and realized it wasn’t rafayel’s tram. so when i spotted this pink tram in the distance, i thought, “yeah, it’s probably not qi yu’s again.” BZZT—WRONG. IT WAS HIM.

soo, guess who is here when “at the beach, in every life” was playing? if my dreams come up empty and i wash up on the shore, rafayel would find me—when he was heading to the ‘beach’ and i was returning from it—in every life, through every door. #祁煜芷玉此生奇遇 #rafaraphainHK

all in all, i am so happy to celebrate rafa’s birthday with this little hk-macao trip. i hope we can do more trips in the future when we celebrate other occasions, as though having the memories of our love immortalized in different cities and countries. ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و ♡

we initially planned to visit man mo temple on hollywood road in sheung wan, but since our time is tight for our flight back home, we’ll just take a relaxing tram ride straight to the train station! 🥹

more memories of us visiting the famous forbes street spot, trying the mixue melon ice cream, and walking to the praya waterfront! also, we bought cute little trinkets at a local shop as well 🚋🏬 anyway, a certain fishie certainly looks refreshed when the sea wind blows 🐟🫧🩵

finally, it’s our last day in hong kong! we checked out early to wander around the seaside neighborhood… kennedy town! 🌊🏢 #祁煜芷玉此生奇遇 #rafaraphainHK

since it’s our last night in HK, we watch the city at night and feel a bit emotional as we bask in the memories of our stay here. although, a tiny seed of hope latched onto my heart to catch rafa’s birthday ding-ding (tram)… to no avail because news has it ended on mar 16. 🥹

2. dragon city cafe for our last dinner in HK, we ordered dragon(?)-style hong kong fried noodle with a cup of hot milk tea 🍜🧋 🕊️: can i add sugar to the milk tea? 🐟: sure, but only if i can have the BIG prawn over there. 🕊️: nuh-uh, half of the prawn 🙂‍↕️ 🐟: …fiiiine.

1. bakehouse tung chung sourdough egg tarts, honey milk tea toast danish, and seasonal candied ginger latte 🥧☕️ 🕊️: the egg tart is tasty! 🐟: now, don’t burn your tongue on the latte. 🕊️: it warms me up~ what do you think of the toast? 🐟: very crisp, the milk tea is abundant.
