i need SM stans to know that when i got into kpop i was so confused because so many songs i heard were originally german 2000s hits that SM just translated to korean and gave to their groups

Back in 2015, SM stans used to brag about sm getting songs from all over the world, they would say this is why sm has such good quality music, now that every label has resources to buy music it's "unauthentic"? Atleast they're giving credit not stealing like SM

HYBE has really ruined K-pop, and not for the better. It’s the only major company relying heavily on western producers and bought songs. Meanwhile, SM, YG, JYP ect keep the “K” in K-pop alive with their own Korean producers and ORIGINAL songs that have strong replay value.

this illit njz situation was exactly what i had in mind when i tweeted that kpop stans have no idea where dance moves and music genres come from. you can’t scream “plagiarism” at a hip-hop choreo with hip-hop moves. you need to know where they come from, who choreographed, etc.
