.@bellwoodcoffee has admitted it made a mistake after painting over a mural of Jovita Moore in Grant Park. Moore was one of Atlanta’s most respected and recognizable news anchors, a true staple in the city and a dear friend. Jovita passed away in 2021. The mural served as a tribute to her legacy, and its removal sparked backlash from the community. The owners now say their reasons weren’t good enough and that they acted without proper consideration. They plan to commission a new mural and work to rebuild trust with the community. Good to hear.
