@_namori_fan_ True, but I find this was more in opposition to placing weights on things that was already dealt with. I don't think what Peter was teaching was wrong in itself, but telling people that a conversion to jewishness was required was a burden that even the jews couldn't hold

so far, im convinced that arminian baptist christianity is the most accurate to what the bible teaches i would be okay with going to any biblical church i might convert to catholicism

There is a part where the disciples are trying to argue about who is greater among them, and Jesus tells them not to, I have more reasons than that to be against the peter is the first pope idea, but it does make me more in line with the EO idea that they are more like bishops with equal authority.

surely peter has a special role and fulfilled it
but with as far as my knowledge of scripture takes me, i dont know what he even did other than fall into error

@Hulknz_omvig2 @cappadocianist I don’t mind learning more of what different church fathers thought on the subject, but in my denomination studies I have found that church fathers had a variety of thoughts that can be used for and against many interpretations.
There are some who even taught annihilationism
