Which Week 1 schedule would you choose?

@CraigMaz1 I disagree actually, while I was hoping to get one of their matchups in primetime, high-demand divisional matchups should generally not be placed in week 18 so they can be allocated to networks

@schedulerelease Not bad but Bills Pats you can right in stone for week 18. After last years division race no way they pass that up

@schedulerelease I see steelers schedule is so wrong. Pirates play hone week 1 and 3 of schedule so steelers will be on road those 2 weeks and at home week 2

@luchenzo_penha I was referring to the extended offseason. That year, the Super Bowl will be on Feb 8 but the season will kick off on September 9, still a week longer than usual

@schedulerelease Nope, 2037 at the earliest (2032 has feb 29th, so that holiday you mentioned won't fall on September 7th)

Every 5–6 years, the NFL calendar aligns so that the season kicks off on the Thursday after a late Labor Day, extending the offseason by a week. The 2026 NFL season is one of those seasons. This most recently occurred in 2020 and 2015, and will happen again in 2032.

@tietzaaa The Kickoff game is on NBC, and the Bills can’t be on NBC in consecutive weeks. A week 2 MNF opening would be odd for such a good team in a new stadium.
