@nathaliejacoby1 No. Because if they weren’t aware enough to see what he was 20 years ago, we’re not on the same page. Or in the same book.

While I haven’t lost weight, I HAVE lost 5.5 cm around my waist & 6 cm around my belly, my face looks younger, anxiety is gone, & I FEEL great!
Cutting booze is one of the best choices I’ve ever made. Onward!!

@sober_laddi Congrats! I had my first social thing last night too and didn’t even desire booze. First time ever I can recall not using booze to overcome my shyness!

Last night I had my first social thing in which I DID NOT DRINK, people! And it was fun! Close friends. They had a few drinks. We all had a lot of laughs. I was designated driver. I did it! I didn’t even desire to drink something. I’m so proud of myself and happy.

You guys… I just did a video call with my mom and she said, wow what have you been doing? your skin looks great and your face is less puffy.
I’m so happy! I may not have lost weight yet, but the health effects of no booze are happening!

Day 20 of #DryJanuary & feeling great! (I did drink a little on 6 days, but nothing since 15th & don’t want it.)
Why haven’t I lost any weight?! I walk 5 miles a day. I thought I would have shifted a little by now. 😕 #weightlossjourney #odaat

I wish I’d known a long time ago about “hangxiety”! I’d never heard of it until a few days ago… and I’ve clearly been experiencing it for years! Wow, what a revelation!
My anxiety is amazingly decreased or not really there as I get deeper into #DryJanuary. 🤯

We are told so many narratives about drinking alcohol! Even if you drink moderately, there are benefits to taking a break even if it is only temporary. Here are some of the things you may notice if you decided to participate in a Dry (or even damp) January! #DryJanuary #ATX

This really resonates. Especially the bit about not giving alcohol the credit for my social abilities. Have definitely done that so much. SO much.

I haven’t lost any weight yet. Actually I’ve put 1.3 pounds on.
Walking a lot. But have had more sugar than usual… Hopefully I’ll see some improvement soon—would be a nice boost. #weightlossjouney #dryjanuary

It’s day 17 of #DryJanuary and I have drunk on 6 days, (social events & my bday). But not much. And I’ve also had none on 11 days—which is huge for me, as I was in the habit of having some every day.
Why was I putting poison in my body every day?! Right now, I have no idea.

@Chizzy227 Oh, well done. I’m so envious! (I’ve put on weight. 😩 anyway, it’s ok, it will happen!)

I’m starting #DryJanuary… Really don’t know how this will go but I need to change my relationship with alcohol. I’m turning 53 next week, I’m 33 lb overweight because of booze, and I want health.
Starting weight: 158.5
Goal: 125
wish me luck!!!

@tastymutton Oh and if wine was your tipple... You will crave sugar. So find something to plug that.
