I don't personally run any popular OSS repos, so I'm not feeling the pain of maintainers drowning under a flood of AI-assisted PRs. But Angie's been at the front of the conversation about not abandoning community contributions, but evolving the intake process. Great link here.

Great post for OSS maintainers from OpenAI. Open source is not dead, but just like the rest of the software development industry, we need to adapt to modern practices developers.openai.com/blog/skills-ag…

Introducing Generative UI for MCP Apps One server. Infinite interfaces. Instead of building views, define a component catalog. The AI assembles the right UI based on your API, CLI or MCP server tools. Works in Claude, ChatGPT, VS Code, Cursor and more

Why neutral governance? Look at MCP Apps. OpenAI & Anthropic collaborated on a shared standard, letting devs build UI experiences that work across ChatGPT, Claude, and VS Code. Learn more: bit.ly/3PKpwf5 #AAIF

AI "magic" is out. Practical agency is in. 🤖 At @GitHub Universe, Angie Jones dropped a masterclass on how @Block is using Goose, the open-source agent built on the Model Context Protocol (#MCP). Watch the video to learn more: youtube.com/watch?v=ZtpJvs…

The current "MCP is dead discourse" is my current favorite example of the really annoying "simplicity" brainrot that's been plaguing tech for a while On paper "just use a cli agents already know bash" sounds really good. It makes sense and is true, but it misses the bigger picture: > how do they know about the commands + their shape? > just put it in your agents md file or make a skill > ok, so then what happens if the cli's shape changes > well then u just update the markdown file > fine let's pretend people will actually do that (they will not) and this actually works, how are you going to scope authentication and authorization? > use the cli auth tools like what AWS has > ok so we need eng's or agents to be manually making sure every project switches the auth to the correct scopes for each project so that prod can't get vibe killed and then to connect to our internal services over cli in cloud agents we need to run basic agents in sandboxes now b/c we're not using mcp and... You get the point. It sounds really simple, and it is in the toy case, but in the real world an external API gated through MCP is actually way simpler, more secure, and manageable in a lot of cases. This post & article from @GergelyOrosz is a very good example: x.com/GergelyOrosz/s… It's the same thing with the $5 VPS or htmx or postgres or whatever other "simple" enlightened solution that works great in dumb indie hacker demos while making zero sense in the real world. I hate to break it to you guys, but there's no conspiracy. If modern tech solutions really were over complex slop do u really think these companies wouldn't take the free win to just do it the "simple" way? There are tons of problems with the tech, but it exists for a reason. I like CLIs a lot, and in a lot of cases skills make sense, clis make sense, etc. There are a lot of ways to do things, and they all solve different problems. But no, MCP is not dead. It or something like it isn't going anywhere. And there are a lot of good new ideas of how to make it better! Dumping an MCP with 60+ random tools into context sucks I completely agree and needs to be fixed. A lot of the code run solutions are very compelling like @RhysSullivan 's executor, cloudflare's code mode, and others. There are ways to fix this, but a "god mode bash tool" isn't it.

Last week I had the chance to apply my current agentic workflow strategy to a timeboxed team build with two amazing devs Sterling Chapman and @blackgirlbytes on a fun and sometimes stressful new @codetv_dev show filming. We found out very quickly that we are all optimized for effective solo agentic builds. I wrote down some thoughts about my approach, where it broke down in this enviroment and how to think about working together with multiple humans and multiple agents effectively. Oh - and if you are looking for spoilers, sorry you won't find em here. You'll have to wait for the release of the new show! dev.to/amandamartinde…

Awesome non-coding Claude Code Loop ideas for business professionals. Grab any of these + immediately save time: - Check my email every 15min and ping me if something is related to Project Pluto and needs a decision made - Every 30min, prep me for my next meeting with attendee context, threads, mtg and crm notes, emails - Monitor a deal thread every 2h - summarize any new replies related to legal and suggest next moves - Research competitor announcements every 20min (better than an RSS feed bc you can specify the type of announcement and not keywords) - Check in on a brand post going viral, summarize the stats and comments - Watch across all Slack messages for team blockers and flag to me if I should jump in - Monitor that certain things are working (like your HR tool or something internal you own) - Watch 10 companies' job boards you want to apply to - Watch my sent emails and flag if someone on my VIP client list hasn't replied in a way that feels off - Literally just have it watch everything across all of your tools and proactively flag actions (ex: "hey you should cancel this mtg") Recruiters with 40 open roles, flag who's going cold. Teachers, flag students falling behind who haven't submitted homework yet. Event planners, monitor weather and vendors day of. Real estate agents, you can watch MLS for new niche listings ("must have at least 2 bay windows and herringbone floors"). Fundraiser, monitor your investor threads and see which ones need intervening. Just prompt Claude Code with '/loop ' like the image example below or feed it this tweet for role-specific ideas

Back in January I told Eng two things: 1. Delete your IDE 2. Stop writing code And build only through agents. In a few weeks, we: • Built 30+ internal tools to 10x the way we work • Created a deep library of agents + skills to kill repetitive work • Formed “agent councils” for PR and app perf reviews • Shipped multi-month projects in ~1 day It was a clear mental shift to focus us on the things that matter most: - Upstream intent. - Downstream validation. Engineering has always been about building with intent and judgement. The code was just a medium for expression. Now agents are that medium. Rip the bandaid off.

Super excited to see @Microsoft getting involved and helping to make MS Teams top notch for @openclaw!
Brad Groux@BradGroux

Sorry for the slow updates today, huge things brewing! We're going to have big news shortly, massive changes coming (for the better) to OpenClaw for Microsoft Teams sooner rather than later! I hope to have a roadmap out to you all sometime next week. I can say that I've spoken to more than a dozen MIcrosoft employees who want to be involved, and we have a team of six dedicated to helping us as we sit, and I am sure that will grow. They're dogfooding OpenClaw, it isn't all talk. I was also on a call today with @steipete and many from the team, and they too want to get Microsoft Teams, and other extensions and plugins in a better state. It is inspiring to see so many tremendously talented folks rowing in the same direction for the common good. Thank you to all the Microsofties out there and thanks to all of you for your patience! I love being the dumbest guy in the room, and working with the amazing volunteers at OpenClaw, and at Microsoft - I can assure you that's the case!
