The #Giants, at the NFL Combine, were adamant they were not going to trade Dexter Lawrence. Big reason for that: Dennard Wilson stood on table wanting to work with him, his importance to his defense. Obviously, Dexter has an opinion on this, too. And he wants out.

ESPN sources: Giants All-Pro defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence has requested a trade and he will not be participating in the team’s off-season workout program that opens Tuesday. Lawrence and the Giants have been through two off seasons attempting to negotiate a contract reflecting his value to the Giants over the last three years, but there has not been any progress, per sources.

Asked around the league and the general consensus appears to be that IF the Giants were willing to trade Dexter Lawrence the return would be in the range of late first-round pick to second-rounder.

@Chris_NYY28 You already have a promising rookie skat and Tracy who has 1000 yds from scrimmage in both of his first 2 seasons despite not starting every game. Love will take away snaps from one or both of them. Harbaugh has never picked a RB that high. Downs is prob the pick if styles isn’t.

Here’s my question with the Giants: If Sonny Styles is not there at 5, is anybody else actually worth the 5th overall pick? Mauigoa is not a top 5 prospect in the class, Downs is good but is he truly an elite safety? If Styles is gone, Jeremiyah Love might make the most sense.
