It was well known at the time that this was 3 players who were past their prime years (but still had some juice in the tank) teaming up at one last shot at a ring. That is in no way comparable to LeBron, Wade and Bosh - 3 players who were on the 08 Redeem team - teaming up in their prime. LeBron knew he stacked the deck in his favour, so much so he was on stage saying not 1, not 2, not 3 etc. The rest of the league operated with a 1-2 punch: Kobe & Gasol, Nash & Amare, Williams & Boozer, CP3 & West. No one even complained when Bosh signed to Miami because they figured it would be Wade + Bosh. LeBron took it to a whole different level and now a decade plus later people complain about the Warriors superteam handing LeBron multiple finals losses because KD made his own super team which would have never happened if LeBron didn't create his. Again, we only hear about how these finals losses are not fair for LeBron, but were they fair for the 2012 Thunder or the 2013 Spurs?
