@ALegendaryDrops If the workers working on the game or the game engine (ie Unity) owned the company the decisions would be ones to increase the quality and longevity of the company and their products. Owners and stockholders will sacrifice anything or anyone for a quick payout. Workers won't.

@ALegendaryDrops I'm currently watching your "Balders Gate 3 was a wake up call" and i can't help but think your issue with game publishers stems from Capitalism. The issues of unfinished games, micro transactions, and cash grabs come from decisions from the owners to appease the stockholders.

I will criticize Starfield; however, I 100% recognize that there we're passionate developers that worked on it and loved what they worked on. We should criticize games on how they should improve, how they should deliver more value to the player, contrast them with the things we WANT in games not whatever the hell this hate boner stuff is.

@jncatron @UAW Yes after looking into it I realize that is what that was. That shouldn't exist and I'm appalled that it's so common. How can you be in a union and only be allowed to strike during contact negotiations? If there's a upside to no strike clauses I'm not seeing it.

@Kaikenhuippu Depends on when he decided to do this. Did he do it before the invasion of Ukraine or after? If before it might just be incompetence and if after it's definitely malicious. Renewable lovers just take it as a given that they'll have to rely on natural gas.

@FreeRosedark It is meaningfully challenging. Maintaining the status quo in the face of an increase in something bad is a meaningful challenge. Do they need to go further? Yes, but not voting for them won't get them to do more. Not voting for them just strengthens their excuses for inaction.
