It’s really hard to hear people give the “if their two best players didn’t get hurt” excuse for Kentucky.
Their best player/transfer was literally coming off of a torn ACL late last season and they still spent a ton of money to bring him in! That’s a roster choice not bad luck.

Nebraska spent around $5 million on their Sweet 16 roster.
Kentucky spent $22 million - the most ever by a long shot - and got blown out in the Round of 32.

All things considered, Louisville's return on the sizable Mikel Brown investment wasn't good: 21 games played, 14 games missed, including the entire postseason. Maybe that's legitimate bad injury luck. Maybe not.

When it gets to the point where the players get asked about it, it's a problem (I haven't seen that at other schools, but I'm sure it's happened). And with how many of them have talked about their struggles with mental health - just no need for it.

These players are well aware of the high standards and passion Kentucky fans have, but they don't deserve to have their families called out because of a poor performance. Happy to see Malachi take up for his mother. He talked with us about taking the good with the bad of BBN: "We see a lot of the things they say. We never want to disappoint BBN... They have high standards for us, and we have to live up to those standards."

When we hired Cal #They said he loses against mid majors and will let us down in the tournament. The last two tournaments with injuries Arkansas has had a team with 6 available players and 7 available players.
He has not lost for what #They fired him for. Now look at the difference between our programs.

Iowa State's Joshua Jefferson (ankle) is unlikely to play tomorrow against Kentucky, source told @TheFieldOf68. Jefferson will continue to receive treatment prior to the game, but the chances of him being able to play against the Wildcats on Sunday are slim.
