Husband. Father. Texan. Alhamdulillah for everything. Man’s real issue is that he doesn’t understand the greatness of God. https://t.co/mc4u3r7EMR

@FiveBellsRanch @AlexDuncanTX Umm…just in case you didn’t know, Arab Christians use the same word for God (capital G). It’s like saying “Dieu” is the God of only French people.

Ask an American about the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. A substantial portion will tell you it was necessary. Tragic, but necessary. It ended the war. It saved lives. Hard choices in impossible circumstances. Now ask them how they would feel if another country had done it to an American city. Watch the framework collapse in real time. Suddenly "necessary" is not a category that applies. Suddenly there are no hard choices and impossible circumstances. Suddenly it is simply: a crime. An act of war. An atrocity. This is not hypocrisy in the ordinary sense. This is a two-tiered moral universe so deeply internalized that most people living inside it cannot see the structure at all. Violence done to Americans is atrocity by definition. Violence done by Americans requires context. Requires understanding. Requires a discussion of the strategic situation. This is the psychological furniture. This is what empire builds inside the people who benefit from it. And it is almost invisible from the inside.

They taught their children that World War II was a war between good and evil. And America won. So in the deepest layer of the American psyche, there is this foundational equation: America = the side that wins the wars against evil. Every subsequent war got loaded into that equation. Korea. Vietnam. Gulf War. Iraq. Afghanistan. Each one was presented, at the beginning, with the same moral architecture. The same clarity of purpose. The same enemy who needed to be stopped. And when the wars turned out to be complicated, when the reasons turned out to be false, when the conduct turned out to be criminal, when the outcomes turned out to be catastrophic, the equation couldn't be revised. Because the equation is not really about the wars. The equation is about the identity. You cannot tell Americans that Vietnam was a war crime without implying that America is capable of war crimes, which implies that America is not automatically the good side, which collapses the foundational equation, which leaves an entire civilization's self-understanding without a floor. This is not a political disagreement. This is an existential threat to a constructed self. And people defend their constructed selves with the same ferocity they defend their lives. Sometimes more.

I studied Islam at Columbia University because I needed to understand what it says in the Quran that forced my family to flee Iran under gunfire after the Islamic revolution. I’ve read the Quran. I know what it says to do to Jews. And no one can deny it to me because I studied it. And here’s the truth: Sharia Law is not compatible with the West.

Iran would be a far better ally for the United States than Israel. Iran produces oil, technology and food. Israel produces nothing.

Notice how the word "freedom" works in American political language. Freedom to bomb another country: called defense. Freedom to sanction a population into poverty: called pressure. Freedom to support a coup against an elected government: called stability. But freedom for another country to choose its own economic system? Threat. Freedom for another people to elect a government Washington doesn't approve of? Crisis. Freedom for the Global South to trade outside the dollar system? Aggression. The word means: our freedom to do what we want, everywhere, to everyone. It does not mean what the dictionary says. It never did. And the citizens who repeat it most fervently are usually the ones who have thought least carefully about what they're actually saying. They're not lying. They genuinely don't know. The empire translated the word for them before they were old enough to question the translation.

Christians believe that Elijah was taken to heaven in a chariot of fire and they accept it. They believe Jonah stayed alive inside a great fish for three days and they accept it. They believe David brought down Goliath with a single stone and they accept it. They believe Elisha made an iron axe head float on water and they accept it. They believe Moses split the sea and walked through it. They believe Joshua stopped the sun in the sky. They believe Jesus Christ healed the blind, raised the dead, and was born without a father. They believe the dead came back to life and walked again. All of this… and they accept it. But when it comes to Prophet Muhammad ascending to the heavens, suddenly it becomes too much to believe. So what changed? Not the nature of miracles. Just the source. You do not reject the supernatural. You reject who it comes from. That is not about evidence. That is about bias. Faith is not selective. The moment you start choosing which miracles “sound reasonable”, you have already stepped out of faith and into preference.

If Muslims are honest, the Quran truly is one of the most boring books out there. It's repetitive, often times disconnected from prior verses, incoherent, vague, and there's really no storyline to follow. The Hadiths are more entertaining to read than the Quran. The reason this is relevant is because the Quran claims to be fully explained and clear (S. 12:111, 11:1, 41:3, ect) and that nobody can make something like it because it's just so miraculous (S. 2:23), but the opposite is true.

This isn't Berlin. This isn't Soho. This isn't New York. It's somewhere far more interesting and friendly....it's Tehran. The level of misinformation about the country is staggering. This is what the US is bombing. For Israel.
