By one of the greats I mean on the level of Michael, Prince, James... some people might think he's at that level, most people won't. And it's definitively not "cemented" in that category. No song in this album is gonna be remembered as much as 24K Magic, Thats what I like, LOOH, JTWYA... Maybe even Leave the door open, speaking only about singles. The Romantic singles are being spammed rn on radio, they are never gonna be bigger... if you ask 100 people on the street rn to sing a Bruno song I feel like <15 out of those 100 would be able sing maybe some IJM or Risk It All, and <5 will be able if you ask them in 10 years. That's my read. How many of those people would know LOOH? 24K? JTWYA? Maaany more. Singing in spanish is not "experimental. C'mon. When people are so easy and fast to celebrate anything Bruno does, I wonder, do they actually believe he's talented? Because I do, and therefore I expect better. But they don't seem to have those expectations... So odd.

How is it possible that I haven't liked any of the choices he's made in the past 2 years... I was so confident this era was gonna be the one that cemented him as one of the greats in history. I wonder how Bruno sees it. Like, does he see the number 1's on the hot 100, sees the ticket sales, and then sees this era as a success? Is he aware that, despite all the stats, this era's had the least cultural impact of any of his albums/tours? If he does see it, does he want to do something about it? Why the fuck is he releasing a spanish version of a song... si ni habla español. What's the goal? Audience capture, tickets, fuck artistry? Is that it? Idk man. Crushing. I feel like in this 5 months I've lost my favorite artist, each choice he makes, each step, making it more clear.

Huge plattform to promote the new music. Let's compare performances: APT: Recorded a whole new MV for background visuals, new arrangement, guitar solo breakdown, big stage, crazy camera work... I Just Might: Smallest stage on the planet, same outfit as IJM and DWAS MVs in a different color, no choregraphy, no dance break, no "breaking it down"... nothing. 1-2 stepping through the whole performance. He doesn't need to say anything. Thats. How. He. Works. That was his band playing around them. His camera guy talked about recording the visuals. The producer of the Grammys talked about Bruno telling him he was rearranging the song. And simply, that how he works. He's done that with huge, stablished artist. He's doing that with Rosie too. For some reason you feel like it's offensive to Rosie to let herself be directed by what's widely considered to be one of the best performers in the world. I don't get it

Bruno made every single decision about what happened on that stage. Bruno and his stylist decided the outfits. Bruno and his camera guy recorded the visuals. Bruno made the new arrangement for the song. Bruno talked with Ben (grammys producer) and told him what he was gonna do. It doesn't make it better or worse, doesn't take anything away from Rosie, that's just how he does things.

Also Bruno knew it was her first Grammy and wanted to give a great performance for her
