But, if you don't accept the literal account of the flood, along with the global geomorphological evidence of such, you are missing out. It is amazing. Billions of dead things buried in layers laid down by water all over the earth. Somebody should write a song about it.

@ericmetaxas Eric, maybe you could just admit you are wrong on this issue. Creation science has & will continue to concur with a young earth, supplying ample evidence from both the Bible & science. But all you really need to do is just believe the Bible & stop trying to correct it.

@ericmetaxas I’m forgiving of CS Lewis rejecting 6 day creation, he lived when modern science was naively exalted and before creation scientists hadn’t yet demonstrated the scientific fallacy of evolution. You Eric, Hughes, Ortlund, are all 100% without excuse to reject scripture’s authority

Either the Bible is inerrant or not. Taking liberty with Scripture to conform with “science”, is wrong. If our scientific instruments lead to a particular assertion contrary to Scripture, the error is with us. God spoke plainly to us. God doesn’t need thousands of years to create the earth. That diminishes His power.

I would recommend Dr Walt Brown’s work. He has a doctorate in engineering from MIT. Dr. Brown wrote an exhaustive work “In the Beginning” which affirms the biblical creation and flood accounts using engineering, biology, physics, and geology. His aforementioned book is a veritable masterpiece work on the subjects.

@ericmetaxas Please consider working out some interviews where you discuss this topic with Ken Ham. It is a vitally important issue, and such a discussion would be highly beneficial to listeners.

@ericmetaxas Eric, you are wrong and it is very consequential. Please do not keep pushing this because you cloud the Creators image when you do. You sow doubt in people about what God says He did in the beginning. He said it was good and your version of creation says it was not.
