@WalterPresents any plans to bring back Deutschland 86 and 89 to All4? We're halfway through the former and gutted it's been taken off!

Having been an AHT for 9 years- it’s a DEMANDING job. (Not saying other areas aren’t!) We do EVERY duty, every day. Cover lessons. Stay behind for all/most school events. Line manage several people. Support them with parental meetings. And teach- a lot! It’s not a job that schools can afford to lose.
Schools Week@SchoolsWeek

❌ Ministers have suggested rising numbers of assistant heads could be the place to target cost-cutting as schools are forced to make savings to fund future teacher pay rises. So what’s behind the rise, and is a cut do-able? @lydiachSW investigates... schoolsweek.co.uk/can-schools-re…

Anon post: I’m interested in exploring alternative leadership structures. Has anyone moved away from the traditional HT–DHT–AHT model? I’d love to hear what senior leadership models you’re using and how they’re working in practice.

Ok- so there are a few of us left on here. We have a clear job to do here. We MUST engage with EACH other more. Reply to tweets. RT. Share. Etc. as otherwise we fade away into an algorithm abyss.
Amjad Ali@TeachLeadAAli

Really is pointless tweeting now isn’t it? I literally get about 12 people seeing my tweets and about 2 people that interact with them. 15 years of sharing ideas, supporting teachers worldwide and a racist nut job has ruined it. It has affected my livelihood.

@DeputyGrocott Schools are in such a tricky situation with this though. A huge amount of pressure and scrutiny involved and all stakeholders have varying perceptions of what feeling ill means. I'd argue it's not clear cut (excepting vomiting etc!)

Hmmm…emails to parents on the same day that the parent has emailed in their child ill to say that they should try and come into school in the afternoon as they might end up missing 4 days this half term which would take them to less than 90% attendance. So spread the illness?

I completely agree with @ICT_MrP here - as a parent and as an educator. A heart to heart over a glass of squash would have been great, but to suggest that "real love" is rooted in giggling at your child's poor behaviour when you've picked them up from school is something else!
Mr P MBE@ICT_MrP

I’ve had so many messages from teachers over the weekend about this TV advert from Robinsons and I’d love to know your thoughts? Are we as teachers right to be annoyed at how it completely undermines us when so many schools are really struggling with behaviour?

Will I ever lose the butterflies when waiting for everyone to turn up to a big online CPD session!? 'Have they got the link?' 'Am I still connected?' 'What if no one comes despite signing up?' 😂
