Watch this, they will release a video of it being operational and a couple years down the road it will be revealed that it never flew on its own power, but was towed up and released as a glider. I believe we will skip the need for autonomous jets and jump to world wide starship travel.

It would be great if cars and airplanes were autonomous. Airplanes can do a lot already without a pilots intervention. The technology is great and getting better everyday but..., I don't understand the desire to remove manual controls in these autonomous vehicles. Maybe it's a control issue I have, or that I feel more secure in taking over in case there is a problem. Even those automous airport trains have manual controls. For robo taxi I guess it's cheaper to make a car without manual control inputs. But aside from cost and a little space savings, are there any other benefits of having no steering wheel in a robo taxi?

@wholemars Northrop, Boeing, and Lockheed have all been working on autonomous military jets. The issue is regulatory, not technical.
