Before Tinubu came to power, he promised that Nigeria was wasting too much on fuel subsidies. He said he would remove the subsidy and redirect the money to better things like infrastructure and social welfare. The federal government now saves over 10 trillion naira yearly from the removal of the subsidy. When we asked where the money was going, they said it was being used for debt servicing. Yet today, Tinubu has taken more loans than any president in Nigeria in the last 20 years. If you still tell us to relax because Tinubu is working, it shall not be well with you.
