Did you catch the Moon-Venus conjunction? On the night of May 18, our Moon and Venus had a celestial meetup, called a conjunction. Their position in the sky made them appear close together, despite being millions of miles apart in space.

Today, a resupply mission launched to the space station aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket bearing the @Freedom250 logo. This mission carries several special items to celebrate this historic milestone, including semiquincentennial commemorative coins from the @USTreasury and @usmint, along with multiple sets of new @USPS stamps, and our own NASA Freedom 250 patches. POV: You’re coming home after a journey around the Moon. 🌕 Before reentering Earth’s atmosphere at the end of Artemis II, the Orion spacecraft’s crew module — carrying the astronauts — separated from the service module that provided propulsion and power throughout the mission.

My last NBL run at Johnson Space Center with Jessica Watkins. Spacewalk training underwater is demanding, detailed work — and it has been a joy to learn alongside the divers, engineers, and instructors who make it possible.

@NASA @NASAglenn This is the unsexy hero tech right here. Everyone talks rockets, but if your bolts, concrete, or wiring can’t survive lunar night temps, you’re toast. What temps can that cryocooler hit?

To build on the Moon, we need construction materials that can withstand bitter cold – so @NASAglenn invented a machine that can recreate that environment for testing! This high-powered refrigerator, or cryocooler, removes heat without using any liquid. go.nasa.gov/3PGqIR9
