Today’s #KUCancerFighter hero is Casey Schiessler, a 20-year-old from Elkhorn, NE who for the last 6 months has been courageously battling Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Casey is currently studying kinesiology at Iowa State but he’s always been a huge KU Basketball fan and his dream is one day be either Sports Medicine PA or Basketball Coach. Earlier this month he got to meet one of his biggest heroes, Bill Self, as he attended the KU / Brown game with all his Jayhawk buddies to celebrate his cancer now being in remission! Fred Quartlebaum, KU’s Director of Basketball Operations arranged for Casey to get a special tour to reward his heroic battle with cancer. Casey, you’re an inspiration to us all! Finish the fight, brother. We’re all pulling for you!
