GEOFF DUGGAN, Head Tennis Coach at Fulton High School, passed away on Wednesday Morning at his home. Geoff was one of the best friends I could ever ask for since I began my teaching career back in the mid 1980’s. We remained best friends for 40 years Geoff touched thousands of lives during his career as a teacher and tennis coach in Knox County. Geoff loved his family, loved teaching in the classroom and loved coaching the game of tennis. He taught Social Studies for almost 40 years, mainly at Bearden Middle School and initially at South Middle School. Geoff was the Head Tennis Coach at Bearden High School, L&N Stem Academy and Fulton High School. He coached State Champions, including current Tennessee Mens Coach Chris Wooduff. After retiring from teaching, Geoff continued to be a substitute teacher at multiple schools, mainly at Fulton High School. Geoff quickly came to love the students and staff at Fulton. Geoff Duggan will be missed by everyone that ever knew him, but his legacy and the positive impact he had on thousands of students, athletes, co-workers, friends, and his amazing family will never be forgotten.
