👉 Drought-affected farmers are encouraged to apply for an On-Farm Drought Infrastructure grant, with updated guidelines now released. Eligible activities under the grant program now include activities such as pasture and crop re-establishment and water carting in recognition of the broad pressures farmers are managing. The program, managed by Rural Finance, provides co-contribution grants of up to $5,000 (ex-GST) with an additional $5,000 top-up available for eligible farmers in south west Victoria, taking their total grant on offer up to $10,000 (ex-GST). Noting - farmers can backdate expenses already incurred to 30 September, 2024.
