I have entered the transfer portal from Wright State University with 3 years of eligibility remaining (medical redshirt for 2025 season which ended due to ankle surgery). Graduate Transfer from Ohio State with one year of eligibility remaining. Medically redshirted this year after having UCL Repair with Internal Brace. Currently 14 weeks Post-OP. T99 Pre-Surgery.

🩻 Rib cage provides the foundation for the scap/shoulder complex. HOW we create that motion matters. 360 degrees of expansion/compression is needed to sequence rotation efficiently. Ability to create/change shape is crucial for health/performance.⚾️

5 hours of sleep, 2 energy drinks and 1/2 a meal before your bullpen is not “grinding”. It’s self-sabotage.

@jakegaerke getting after it after his outing 💪🏻 It can be tough to manage in-season lifting when you’re coming out of the bullpen with an unpredictable throwing schedule. One way to stay on top strength/power work is to lift after a short relief appearance. Pairing high stress (throwing) with high stress (lifting) maximizes recovery time. Jake is now able to have a complete recovery day the next day. This sets up for a shorter bounce back time, all while keeping up on his strength/power work Takes a guy who’s willing to put in the time and effort to put himself in the best position moving forward

It’s easy to get lost w/ pitch profiles in this ‘pitch design’ era. Skenes a has 4 seam metrics that if brushed over- could be called “dead” Skenes gets away with this by 1. Averaging 98.2 mph 2. Completely different than sinker 3. 7 pitch arsenal Difference + usage > Metrics
