Earlier today, at our Upperhill Head Office in Nairobi, Ag. Director General, Dr. Eng. Joseph Oketch, hosted a delegation from Ethiopian regulator - Petroleum & Energy Authority for a benchmarking visit focusing on regulatory frameworks within the energy & petroleum sectors.

The discussions covered electricity market regulation, tariff setting methodologies, sector reform approaches, compliance and enforcement mechanisms and emerging regional perspectives shaping the future of energy regulation.

Petroleum prices in Kenya are regulated under the Energy Act, 2019 & Petroleum Act, 2019 to ensure transparency and consistency in pricing. The framework empowers the Cabinet Secretary and us to guide pricing regulations for petroleum products. More visit epra.go.ke
