JUST IN: In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary of independence, the United Kingdom has gifted a bespoke commemorative coin produced by The Royal Mint to the American people.
Per the Brits: The coin was presented to the US administration by British Ambassador Sir Christian Turner. On behalf of the UK, Turner gifted the coin to US Chief of Protocol, Ambassador Monica Crowley at Blair House in Washington DC on Monday 27 April, to coincide with the State Visit of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

New: Vice President Vance's trip to Iowa on Thursday April 30 has been cancelled.
His event w/Rep. Zach Nunn was postponed to May 5 due to House votes this Thurs, while the event with Turning Point USA & Erika Kirk was cancelled due to scheduling conflicts.

Kirk was set to appear with @VP Vance on Thursday in Iowa but the apprentice is cancelled.
“To be clear, this is not due to security concerns related to recent events,” TPUSA said in a statement. “This is simply a matter of scheduling conflicts.”

King Charles III and Queen Camilla arrived in the U.S. on Monday for their first visit as monarchs. The trip, marking the 250th anniversary of signing of the Declaration of Independence, comes at a fraught time for the U.S.-U.K. relationship.
The king and queen headed straight to the White House, where they were greeted by the president and first lady Melania Trump.

Contractors are racing to finish repaving the 17th Street entrance to the White House and Blair House, where King Charles will be staying this week. The King is scheduled to to arrive in a few hours.

The Hilton donated the ~2600 dinners that went unserved at WHCD. They freeze dried the steak and lobster for longer shelf life before giving them to 2 shelters for abused women and children. HUGE thank you to the staff that worked through the night under terrible circumstances.
