All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing

Still trying to get over how warped and distorted the taxpayer-funded so-called "Hope and Courage" immigration research is. Whilst the polling companies are reputable, this is how HCC presented its polling, first image below. "Immigrants contribute to our culture and we’re all the better for having them here" 66% agreed as shown in the graphic, and 34% disagreed (as shown in the text). Notice anything about that? There's no "don't knows" and no "undecideds". Look at the research from the Electoral Commission after #EP24 in the second image. It asked a similar question "Immigrants are good for Ireland's economy" 52% agreed, 26% disagreed, 18% didn't agree or disagree and 4% didn't know. Are we to believe that HCC research didn't offer a "neither agree nor disagree" of "don't know" option? If we exclude those two categories from the 2024 opinion poll, then the 2024 opinion poll shows 67% (52/(52+26)) agree, 33% disagree.Pretty close to HCC 66% & 34%. It's not just the numbers though, it's the framing of the question "we're all the better for having them here" is quite a leading sentiment to present to a polling subject. And of course, there are other questions in recent times like the proposal for a cap on migration, and support for tougher measures from Dept of Justice which elicted responses in the 70-80% range in favour. HCC would describe these positions as "Far Right"
