@RJonesUX ALL schools should be good. Then we wouldn’t need grammars. I absolutely agree as well that your performance at 11 does not necessarily reflect your future performance at all.

True. I know they test at 11 but it also helps that on the whole the behaviour & atmosphere is rarified in a GS. I had a mix of state & private, my kids had the school in the Guardian photo. I am not in favour of GS but am hugely in favour of ££ & teachers for all schools. twitter.com/cakeylaura/sta…

@RJonesUX I had a great grammar school. Great teachers, little bullying, interesting lessons. But my little sister had a terrible comprehensive. Rampant bullying, overworked teachers, bad facilities. That isn’t fair and it isn’t right. Why should she be blighted by one solitary test at 11?
