Confidential), and literally a former Israeli intelligence operative. Milchan was benefiting from Israel's "Milchan Law" (Amendment 168, 2008), which gave new/returning residents a 10-year tax exemption on foreign income. As the exemption neared its end, he sought to extend it to 20 years. He pushed Netanyahu to extend this law to pay less in taxes… a tax law that benefits only few. Netanyahu went on to urge his Finance Minister to extend the tax law. He refused. In Netanyahu's ongoing corruption trial (Case 1000), prosecutors allege Milchan gave the Netanyahu family hundreds of thousands of dollars in luxury gifts (cigars and champagne) over years. In return, Netanyahu tried to push changes to extend or enhance the tax breaks for Milchan (and others). Milchan testified he discussed his tax issues with Netanyahu. This is Ms. Qedani Mahlangu who was MMC for Health in Gauteng when 144 Psychiatric patients died from starvation and neglect at various substandard facilities where they were moved from Life Esidimeni, a private Healthcare provider.
"As of 2021, no criminal charges had been laid against any individuals involved, but a judicial inquest into the deaths was ongoing. The incident has been called "the greatest cause of human rights violation" in democratic South Africa."
To date, I don't remember anyone appearing in court since Justice Dikgang Moseneke's Inquiry ruling.
Why is General Masemola dragged to court when people whose actions caused deaths of so many people have not even seen the inside of a courtroom?

She is in the Autonomy vs. Shame and Doubt stage of Erik Erikson, where children begin to develop independence by copying what they observe. She understands that she needs to bathe, but she hasn’t yet learned the correct way to do it.
At this stage, children either build confidence in their abilities or begin to doubt themselves, depending on the support they receive.

This week Pieter Johan Smith has been sentenced to life for the murder of his wife, Theonette Smith, and five years for obstruction of justice.
On 12 October 2024, Smith and his wife were celebrating his full time appointment as a teacher at a school in Brits, North West. After a physical altercation, Smith indicated that he thought Theonette had passed out from alcohol consumption and he went to bed. The next morning he found her body in the lounge. Smith dropped her body in a field and then reported her missing to a security firm and SAPS. Upon investigation, Smith was arrested.
