Avi Lewis: "We have a very clear plan to cut grocery prices by 30-40% for Canadians at a cost to the federal government ... We'd subsidize it. It costs $350m to launch and $300m a year, which is one-half of 1% of the current defence budget."

The City of Ottawa doesn’t need to be in every aspect of my life. How about this for a 5 point plan on what they should spend their time and our money on: 1. Pick up my garbage on time 2. Plow my street and fix the potholes 3. Ensure the emergency and protective services in Ottawa are funded to reduce ambulance wait times, put out fires, and enforce the law 4. Make recreation available for families and seniors 5. Keep up with infrastructure / social services as population grows Not that hard. Get back to basics.

I had a call with @OttawaPolice today. I was told if I don't delete my X posts where I say Mosques in Occupied Iran are hubs of terrorism and should be bombed, I would be charged under the Criminal Code of Canada. So I deleted my posts. Meanwhile, Mosques in Occupied Iran:

It's Wrestlemania season, so you know what that means. It's time for a rematch! In Calgary @coreyhoganyyc paid the Conservative convention a visit. I'm repaying the favour at the Liberal convention in Montreal this weekend. Let's get ready to rumble (treat each other respectfully and have an engaging political dialogue)!

I appreciate those Liberals who are celebrating Gladu’s defection right now because in true “race to the bottom” form they have been exposed as having even fewer principles than she does.

I don’t take issue with a principled floor crossing ie I wasn’t happy about Brison but I understood it. What concerns me right now is the unprincipled and ruthless power grab by the PM. It is unsavoury and it exposes the fragility of our parliamentary democracy. I also have no idea how Dolly Begum and Marilyn Gladu sit in the same caucus when the only thing both of them agree on is they that the Liberals are the root of all evil. It such a mockery of our system.

This is getting ridiculous. I get it that Poilievre is not Mr. Congeniality but these MPs ran under his banner just last spring. They knew who and what they were running for. Clearly this is just personal opportunism.

Conservative MP crosses the floor to Liberals Statement from MP Marilyn Gladu Today, the Liberal Party issued the following statement from Marilyn Gladu, Member of Parliament for Sarnia—Lambton—Bkejwanong: “Dear citizens of Sarnia—Lambton—Bkejwanong, "The past year has been like no other that Canada has ever faced, and I’ve heard clearly from constituents that you want serious leadership and a real plan to build a stronger and more independent Canadian economy.  "That is why I have decided to join Prime Minister Mark Carney and Canada’s new government as the newest member of his caucus.  It is a privilege to have served as your Member of Parliament for more than a decade, and I have made a choice to do the best thing for our community’s priorities, and importantly, for our country. "The experience I gained working globally across many sectors will be important to help our Prime Minister continue to deliver on the big priorities he is driving forward: To build the nation at speeds not seen before, create jobs for a prosperous future, build our defence, diversify our trade, build more homes, help lower costs for Canadians, and combat crime. I believe that these are the priorities many of you share, and I’m ready to work with Prime Minister Carney to build a stronger, more independent, and more competitive Canadian economy. "I know that you also want to see more direct support from your federal government at this crucial moment for our local and national economy, and I will be working relentlessly to advocate for the projects, priorities, and prosperity that our communities are counting on. "Sarnia—Lambton was always a bellwether riding, meaning that whoever our community elected as MP was typically in government. That was true for 52 years before the citizens here elected me four times, throughout which I have served in Opposition and done my best to advocate strongly for you. Today, there is both the opportunity – and the responsibility – to build our country’s strength and success with a more constructive, collaborative approach. "That is the approach I will advance as the newest member of Prime Minister Mark Carney’s team in government, as we work together to build a brighter future for all in a stronger Canada." » – 30 –
