A universe was nothing more than an algorithm, a construct of rules, equations, and perception. What could I do? What couldn't I do? What was next?

@8thFallenSoul The beat up old wagon had found itself, after hours, at the ends of an island. Water stretched far beyond the horizon, and facing that nigh endless sea were a couple small houses. Why they stand there remains unknown, but nonetheless— —It had become a place of refuge for them.

But, in spite of it all, a lonesome group managed to make a life up here. There was no other option. They were stuck with each other, all victims of the same pain, all sharing the same fate. Connections were forced. And in the most unusual sense, a family was formed.

Being alive here was a feat within itself. Remains of both man and animal were littered across the isolated confines of this martyry. The place ran on the expense of others. It was powdered by murder, designed to rend and tear whoever found themselves trapped here.

Cleaning his wound to the best of their ability, they carry Silas over to the wagon. The rain got harder and heavier. Fortunately, they were able to continue their journey across the wasteland, guided by a carefully articulated path developed over the course of years.
