Perceptions of careers in technology are often shaped by distance - what we hear, not what we experience. Through the @IBM SkillsBuild bootcamp, conducted by Nasscom Foundation in collaboration with IBM at Kalaburagi, students engaged directly with emerging technologies and real-world applications. In this video, participants reflect on how their understanding of careers in tech has evolved — from assumptions to informed perspectives. #IBMSkillsBuild #AIForStudents #DigitalSkilling #FutureReady #NasscomFoundation

Floods take days to subside, but to save victims, action needs to be taken in minutes. But going underwater without risking another life can't be the only way. This team of 7 BTech students from Coimbatore decided that wasn’t good enough. Their solution: an underwater drone built for disaster response capable of navigating submerged environments, locating trapped victims, and transmitting precise coordinates in real time. Reducing risk. Saving time. Saving lives. But they didn’t stop there. What began as a rescue tool is evolving into a full-scale water robotics platform, extending into oil and gas pipeline inspection, flood prediction systems, water quality monitoring, biodiversity tracking, and underwater exploration. From disaster zones to deep-water data, their vision covers every layer of what lies beneath the surface. The journey wasn’t easy. Electrical failures, software iterations, and mechanical redesigns, every team faced its own battle. But with the right support, funding, and relentless problem-solving, they built through it all. Today, they’re not just students. They’re building a company inspired by Tamil literature, symbolising the “wealth of water” with a mission to create robotic solutions for a world that depends on it. When disasters strike, time decides everything and they’re building to make every second count. We congratulate you on your journey at Neovation.

Nasscom Foundation's capacity building programmes are most effective when participants can see how learning connects with their daily lives. Training sessions increasingly focus on practical application - helping individuals understand how digital tools support enterprise activities, financial management, and communication. When participants begin using these tools independently, confidence grows naturally. Small moments of familiarity often mark the beginning of larger transitions in capability and opportunity. #DigitalInclusion #Livelihoods #TechForGood #NasscomFoundation

For many students, emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence remain abstract until they experience them firsthand. Practice sessions and hands-on learning environments help bridge this gap. Instead of learning about technology, students begin exploring how it can be used, adapted, and applied. When this shift happens, technology moves from theory to possibility. #FutureReady #AIForStudents #DigitalSkilling #NasscomFoundation

Happy to share glimpses from the recent Certification Ceremony at Amity University, Greater Noida, under the @Adobe SkillBridge project — an initiative through which we are skilling over 32,250 learners across the country on emerging areas such as digital content creation, marketing and AI-driven creative tools, helping strengthen employability and create pathways to future-ready careers. At the event, 150 students were recognised for successfully completing training in Digital Marketing and Graphic Designing, integrated with employability skills. Of these, nearly 27 candidates have already secured full-time job opportunities in the North region alone. The ceremony was attended by Mudita Lall, Country Lead – CSR, Adobe; the Nasscom Foundation team- Siddhartha Pande Mrinal Roka, Numan, Ritu Sengupta; representatives from Amity University including the Director General, HODs, and faculty members; our implementing partner Etrain; and learners from the programme. A key highlight of the event was hearing directly from the students, who shared their journey from joining the training programme to gaining the skills, confidence and support that helped them access employment opportunities—making their experience truly inspiring and a reflection of the program’s meaningful impact. Together, through the power of #Technology, creativity and purpose, we are unlocking the potential of India’s youth and shaping a generation ready to turn ideas into innovation.

It started with a conversation—and a problem most people overlook. Food spoilage during transportation—a silent challenge affecting livelihoods across the supply chain. Team Smart Packaging chose to act. What followed was rigorous research, multiple iterations, and relentless problem-solving—leading to an IoT-based ethylene gas detection system for cold storage units. Non-invasive. Real-time. Built for impact at scale. Their solution sits at the intersection of zero hunger, climate action, and innovation—supported by a business model designed for real-world adoption. But beyond the technology, what truly shaped their journey was the mentorship under the thingQbator program by Nasscom Foundation, Social Innovation for Youth program, supported by @Cisco. Because sometimes, all it takes is the right guidance to turn an idea into a scalable solution. We congratulate Team Smart Packaging for emerging as winners at Neovation 2026, the felicitation event of thingQbator—celebrating ideas built to create real impact. @emrackzer
