1. Take school seriously. If you have good grades. Your recruiting process is easier. Without good grades, a good gpa and test scores you limit your opportunities.
2. Invest in your health. Fitness matters! The truth is you have to pass the eye test too. Eat healthy, well, and make sure you workout. Show that fitness and eating healthy is a part of your lifestyle
3. Return all phone calls, tweets, and emails regardless of the level of the school.
4. Understand that you are what your film says you are. So Invest in a quality camera and film maker.
5. You must strive to play at the highest level of club soccer to have the BEST chance of college soccer. (ECNL, RL, GA, MLS Next)
6. Exposure to college coaches is still, and will always be the best method of recruiting. This is why playing at elite club organizations matters and ID camps matter too.
7. If you want college soccer, there’s a place and level for everyone. But most of you will not like the level and place suited for you. When that time comes and you don’t like your options of schools, it’s okay to say no to college soccer. Go be a student and enjoy school at the schools you want.
Stay tuned for more tidbits later today.

In Foxborough last night, the local government remains concerned they'll be left on the hook for nearly $8mil in World Cup-related security expenses. And still, nobody knows who'll pay.
7 World Cup matches hang in the balance.

In Oct 2024, Frank Illet vowed not to cut his hair until Manchester United won five straight. The streak never came. The hair kept growing.
Meanwhile, Manchester United Women hit THREE 5+ game runs — including a 7-game streak.

Thierry Henry looked shaken.
Micah Richards veered between resignation and anger.
Kate Scott was the epitome of calm authority.
CBS’ coverage of the racism storm around Vinicius Junior was forensic, empathetic and exhaustive - and another example of the U.S. broadcaster owning a big Champions League moment.

Things I understand: uncontrollables like weather that cause soccer tournament organizers to move games and redo schedules at the last minute.
Things I DON’T understand: the fact that we live in the most super technology charged era of all time where it takes five seconds to push an email out to all the college coaches who are furiously putting together their schedules to let them know of these changes, yet no one seems capable of doing this. (Never mind posting on your X either….😠). I have to find out from one of our commits as I’m already well into putting together spreadsheet for wrong schedule.
PSA to college coaches: Penn Fusion schedule has been completely changed so stop what you’re doing and go seek out schedule on your own

⚽️🚨#CollegeSoccer Advice for players attending an ID Camp
Stand out from the pack
Shake hands
Introduce yourself
Be:
First to show
Last to leave
Helpful
Kind
Prepared
Competitive
Humble
Grateful
Realistic
Outwork everyone including the coaches
Listen
Learn
Be the best version of yourself you can be!
If you aren’t shaking hands with the coaches & introducing yourself
If you aren’t spending time with the coaches to get to know them better & allow them to get to know you better
If you aren’t asking the staff if you fit into their team(s)
If you aren’t shaking hands with the staff & thanking them
Then you’re wasting a massive opportunity to stand out & make them remember you
At least then you can say you gave it your all
Need help?
Just ask
