I’ll never forget watching this on repeat back in 2015. The hype leading up to Episode VII remains unmatched.

Disney SW is definitely much more sanitized. It goes beyond even small things like this, but extends into the general character design philosophy and depiction of the setting. It's all homogenized, streamlined, very safe and noncontroversial. Makes the setting pretty boring, ngl.

you need to understand that a-list agents/managers are putting these ppl in rooms with reps from ai companies so they can ink deals. they aren't living in reality, they only know the sales pitch. take this as seriously as when they were all gung ho about NFTs. it's not inevitable
