Sukuna, JJK's narrative antithesis, being excited here displays how unfit Yuta was to be JJK's protagonist. He did it out of desperation but aligning with the antagonist in a story (unless it's a regression arc that they overcome) tells me that character can't be the protagonist.

What made Gojo vs Sukuna so special outside of the build up was how the fight went. Instead of being clash of brute power, it was a strategic battle between two elite sorcerers, trying to outsmart the other and it was so engaging to read every week that nothing comes really close
