If you are looking for 80-degree temperatures, like we had last week, you are out of luck. As we track the temps going forward, highs will mainly be in the 60s, with the one lone exception of potentially Wednesday. @ScottSumnerWX

Not much change to the 7-day. The best chance of widespread rain is still on Wednesday, but there may be a few times when some spotty showers are seen. Otherwise, it's a pretty standard forecast for the DMV the next week. @ScottSumnerWX

Rain but no severe weather for Maryland? In March, there were 4 confirmed tornadoes in MD. It was an active start to severe weather season. However, with the cooler than normal pattern expected going into May, the threat for severe weather will likely stay in the Mid-West for a few weeks. We do expect more beneficial rain Tuesday/Wednesday, but the chance for storms is low at this time.

After today's rain, the DMV has multiple chances of wet weather making a return to the region. @ScottSumnerWX

Last week, it was record-breaking heat. This week, it's the opposite. Last week at Dulles, we had 2 days in a row of record-breaking heat with highs in the lower 90s. Fast forward to this week, earlier this AM, we dipped to 27°, breaking the old record of 29° (1983).🎢🥵🥶

The NWS has upgraded the earlier Freeze Watch to A Freeze Warning. Temperatures look to range from the mid-20s to the low 30s. Since most of the area has started the growing season, please protect your tender vegetation. @ScottSumnerWX
