Harmeet Dhillon always seemed to me to be the obvious AG. If this isn't locked down, she's definitely someone most supported by the base. She was the lawyer taking on cases for Andy Ngo, and when San Jose allowed trump supporters to be violently attacked, she sued.

The woke Pope always has something you say about current events except when his hometown basketball team fires a player for being a Christian. Suddenly he can’t find his tongue. Fascinating!

I wanted a second child soon after my first became a toddler. I loved the baby stage, but my reason for wanting another was a bit more practical (and selfish). I wanted a playmate for my oldest. As much as I loved playing with him, I needed a break every now and then and I figured a live-in playmate close to his age would be the perfect solution. It was. In fact, it was such a great idea that we had baby #3 less than two years later (that one wasn’t quite as planned). The more our family grew, the less I had to entertain. Sure, these live-in playmates sometimes fought like tiger cubs, but they always worked it out, usually through a wrestling match. I rarely intervened. Once the next baby came along, we were in a groove. #4 added a lot of pink to our mostly blue world but she was like a new toy for the tiger cubs for a while. They couldn’t wait till she was old enough to wrestle and play with them. It seems strange to say that the more kids we had the easier it got, but it’s true. As they grew older they would sometimes complain that they were bored and ask me what they should do. I would (half-jokingly) respond that “This wasn’t a cruise ship and I wasn’t their activities director. Go find something to do.” They always did. Anyhow, if there are parents out there exhausted from having to constantly entertain their one or two children, or wondering how/why anyone would have lots of kids, I hope this helps. BTW those “tiger cubs” are now in their 20’s and continue to be best of friends.

This is the last time I’ll do this. I am burned out by morons. Getting people to vote is hard. Most don’t see it as a binary choice. The default for most of the country is to not vote at all. It’s the job of candidates to get people out to vote. Now blocked.

If Kamala Harris were in office, we wouldn't be at war in Iran but the border would be open, Elon would be in jail, X wouldn't exist, and there'd be a bipartisan amnesty. I have a lot of issues with the current administration. Everyone who is HONEST does. Real life isn't utopia.

Chesterton said fairy tales do not give children the idea that monsters exist. Children already know that. Fairy tales give them St. George. Worth reading if you have children: virtueandwonder.com/p/what-fairy-t…

When I was 19 I found out a Zionist had made a list of every American he could find who had criticized Israel. There were tens of thousands of people on the list w/ reasons given for why they deserved to be labeled an enemy target. I was shocked to find my dad on the list because he had signed an anti-war petition. It is laughable to suggest my father is an anti-semite, but he is strongly anti-war. I, being 19 & extraordinarily naive, contacted the maker of the list to explain this was about war, not anti-semitism, and asked him to take down such a dangerous "enemies" list. He responded cheerfully that I was obviously also an "enemy of Israel" because I was opposed to making "enemy lists" and so he added my name to it and wished death upon me. The next 20 years taught me that wasn't a fringe character - that is contemporary media & political policy. The deliberate mixing of criticism of Israel with antisemitism is the actual revolting bad-faith practice and has no place in a polite, free, or (dare we hope one day) loving society.

This is rip tide and drowning awareness month. (I made that up.) Drowning doesn’t look like anything, the kid plops in and sinks. Hire a lifeguard if you’re having a party. Most drownings are when a parent is present. Everyone assumes someone is keeping an eye out. No one is.

Baby is proxy for other things. Having a baby means being an adult. Being an adult means being invisible and doing thankless daily tasks and duties you can’t expect to get credit for. Modern people, especially modern women, cannot bear the thought of being invisible. Hence the constant public disclosures of private things and feelings that you should keep to yourself in the name of “raising awareness” and “breaking stigmas.”
Peachy Keenan@KeenanPeachy

You're not regretting your baby. You just no longer live in a world where young mothers with babies are made a fuss over, treated like royalty, and given any special privileges, and are instead treated like social pariahs, annoyances, and net drains on society.

'Parents don't realise that nurseries are day orphanages and warehouses for their children' Child psychotherapist Erica Komisar says parents are being bullied and misled into believing that daycare is good for their children, aruging that nurseries are effectively 'day orphanages' that cannot provides babies with the same safety and security provided by their parents. @EricaKomisarCSW @NatashaFeroze

It became cool to put on a glitzy dress and say, “I’m MAHA.” This 👇 is MAHA. These are the women who organize. They have been snubbed totally by the Trump White House.

I was the only right wing person covering MAHA early on, and what Alex is saying is true. The MAHA moms have been mostly shut out. There’s MAHA “brand” now. Glitzy events, but these are NOT the moms who showed up to protest and organize. This needs fixed.

One underappreciated reason to consider Montessori, Waldorf, or The Socratic Experience: the families attracted to them tend to be more intentional about technology. You're more likely to attend birthday parties with less screen time. If you set tech boundaries, the other parents don't think you're crazy.

Just found out that Cernovich is locked out from his X account @nikitabier @elon this is bad enforcement. Cernovich has been a leading voice for stopping undisclosed influencer campaigns with foreign money and lobbyists And he's always been transparent about the companies he invests in and promotes, in this case it was simply a coupon code

This is completely ridiculous, @elonmusk and @nikitabier. Cernovich is one of the most honest and forthright people on this entire site. Long before the new paid partnership rules were put in place, he was disclosing everything voluntarily, telling people whether he was an investor, compensated, etc. He regularly recommended nutritional stuff he had no stake in because he thought it was a good product. Suspending him over this is beyond ridiculous, especially given the amount of garbage slop-for-pay trash that goes undisclosed on this site.

For those who keep saying losing the midterms was / is inevitable. You don’t know anything. Republicans win the popular vote in the House election. Gerrymandering was and is the issue. Not some stupid trend you just heard about. Without that and fraud, House GOP is at 250 seats.
