9 years ago today, captain Per Mertesacker ionically had the performance of his life, as Arsenal beat Premier League Champions Chelsea in the FA Cup final, in what was at the time, Arsène Wenger’s worst season. This was Mertesacker’s first start of the season, as he had literally only just returned a week before after missing an entire year through injury. Going into the game Laurent Koscielny was suspended, Shkodran Mustafi & Gabriel were injured, while Mertesacker had only played 37 minutes all season, which all came 6 days before the final. Josh Kroenke is the type of owner every club needs and we are lucky to have him. He's young and not just that he's a fan and for that he feels every banter, pain and endorphin every fan does which makes it a perfect balance for growth in the system. His takeover from Stan Kroenke (his father) has been heavily felt by the whole club positively. He has a good relationship with the Coach, players, staff and is creating one with the fans.
