Yes! the issue with women glamorizing it is very real. I agree with all of this minus the sole breadwinner situation... That is not healthy as a dynamic and never was. Talk to any group of senior women and you will hear horror stories of constant affairs, drained bank accounts and abuse people can't escape from or stories about the desperation created when a good partner passed away or became disabled. What is needed is a social structure that allows women significant time for maternity leave and social support like childcare and everyone, men and women, need reasonable hours and time to parent... But we don't have any of that. And the income to cost of living ratio is terrible even for couples who both work. The failing and abusive economic system also exacerbates people's need to feel control... So you have a person who is being abused in terms of power at work playing out power on their partner, which creates a horrible dynamic. Abusive one-sided power dynamics are toxic in EVERY environment and US corporate environments are rife with them. But it's not just men who get plagued with that sense of need for control in the US environment - it's everyone. A totally normal human impulse to want stability and some sense of control over ones direct circumstances. And yes, once people have been exposed to a bunch of unhealthy dynamics they start to expect them or fear them and it can make people not trust or recognize a good partner. I know so many people who have just given up on that idea altogether. The phrase "not worth it" is one I hear all the time 💔 which is tragic because good partnership is need now more than ever.

Really want to highlight how insane of a conflation this is - absolutely the worst kind of gaslighting and exactly why the normalization of things like this should never be allowed. I wrote a post about the dangers of normalizing sexual violence - explicitly about strangling and the discussion chain also has conversations about rape. Literally no other subject was discussed. This is exactly how girls get pressured into accepting clearly abusive acts that cause permanent brain damage, strokes and even death. I have never in my life made a negative comment about these groups of people. I am anything but a Puritan. But this type of bullying is what puts women in a position where they feel like they need to accept abuse that can literally kill them. It's beyond toxic. No one should ever have to justify drawing a boundary around brain damage and potential death when it comes to sexual relationships. Ever. Since programming like this has been put on TV there has been a massive increase in both women getting strangled and in strangulation deaths in the US. The question to ask oneself is why an industry completely infiltrated by the CIA and hardcore Zionists committed to promoting US wars want to encourage domestic violence and abuse? Why would things we are all mortified to hear about in the Epstein files be normalized by the elites who make our TV programs? Why would a capitalist hierarchical society with worsening economic conditions fearing social uprising want to divide men and women and disempower women economically? Might they be weakening the position of more than 50% of the working class in opposing them? 🤔 Worth highlighting that Lenin understood the absolute necessity of equalizing and organizing women as a labor force in order to have a successful revolution.
