HB 8, the bill that more than TRIPLES state-mandated testing in our Texas public schools finally passed. I voted NO. It doesn’t end STAAR, it grows it & is now called SSTAR. It’s effective by the 2027-2028 school year or before. You can see how your House Member voted here.

nothing wrong with prayer. but in this specific situation, this is how it's used. prayer is used to say something shortly after a tragedy, so you're not mute. but then buy enough time so you can quietly drop it. until there's another mass shooting. over and over again.

REMINDER: People who claim that protesters are paid are often trying to gaslight the public into dismissing genuine dissent. It’s a common tactic used by those in power to delegitimize grassroots movements and avoid addressing the real issues being raised. Republicans are in denial that so many people care about our future enough to spend their day fighting for it rather than joining a cult.
