Despite early pressure from the home side, Kovsie remained composed and capitalised on key moments to secure all three points. CUT created several opportunities but were left to rue missed chances, while Kovsie’s clinical finishing proved decisive. After years of navigating illness, uncertainty, and change, she continued her studies in Integrated Water Management, driven by a desire to better understand the water challenges in her community. On 17 April 2026, she will graduate from the University of the Free State – a milestone that reflects not just academic success, but also the courage to keep going. 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 In the final year of his PhD, Tobias Ndlovu suffered a stroke that affected his mobility. He did not stop. Working through recovery, he continued typing, revising, and publishing – turning routine academic work into part of his rehabilitation. On Friday 17 April 2026, he graduated with a PhD in Disaster Management from the University of the Free State.
