From the Lecture Halls of Legon to the Moon: Celebrating Christina Koch I join the University of Ghana and the entire nation in celebrating NASA Astronaut Christina Koch on her historic membership of the Artemis II mission. It is a point of immense pride to learn that Christina, the only woman on this pioneering lunar mission, was once an exchange student at our very own University of Ghana during the 1999/2000 academic year. Her time at Legon was not just a passing visit; she truly immersed herself in our culture and heritage. By studying the History of Ghana, the History of Africa, Rural Sociology, Music, and even Twi for Beginners, she built a foundation of global citizenship right here in Accra. Her gesture of hoisting the Ghanaian flag in outer space was a deeply touching moment for every Ghanaian. It is a testament to the fact that no matter how far one travels, even into the vastness of space, the friendships made and the lessons learned stay with you. Christina’s journey from the classrooms of the University of Ghana to the frontiers of space exploration serves as a powerful inspiration to every young Ghanaian. It reminds us that our educational institutions continue to produce and shape global leaders who break barriers and reach for the stars. On behalf of a proud nation, I wish Christina Koch and the entire Artemis II crew godspeed on your return journey to earth. May your success continue to inspire generations across Ghana, Africa, and the world to believe that there's no height that is insurmountable. Congratulations, Christina. Ghana is proud of you!

🚨let me tell you why Iran just closed the Strait of Hormuz again because most people have no idea what happened today.. this morning the deal was simple.. stop the war.. reopen the strait.. let oil flow.. Iran did its part.. oil dropped 16%.. but Iran had one condition that mattered more than anything.. Lebanon must be included in the ceasefire.. it was point one in their 10-point plan.. Trump called it "workable".. hours later Israel bombed Beirut and Tyre.. Netanyahu said "this is not the end of the battle".. Trump confirmed Lebanon was never in the deal.. and Iran's parliament announced 3 out of 10 clauses were already violated.. so here's what actually happened.. Iran was told the deal covers Lebanon.. opened the strait based on that understanding.. then watched Lebanon get bombed while the White House said it was never covered.. Iran didn't break the ceasefire.. the ceasefire was broken around them.. and the strait is the only leverage they have to prove it matters.. 20% of the world's oil is being turned on and off like a game.. running the worl like a school project.. people are dying in Beirut.. markets are swinging billions by the hour.. and the people in charge can't even agree on what they signed this morning.. these are our leaders..

A Nigerian governor was kidnapped in broad daylight. Not by criminals. By his own political godfathers. They drove him to a forest in Anambra State at midnight. Took him inside a shrine. Forced him to swear an oath in front of a deity called Ogwugwu. The oath said: you won because we put you there. You will do what we say. If you betray us, you will die. He signed. He became governor. His name was Chris Ngige. One year later in August 2004 police raided that same shrine. What they found stopped the country. 83 corpses. 63 of them had no heads. 20 loose skulls scattered across the forest floor. Then they found a register. Names. Dates. Amounts. Governors. Senators. Businessmen. Some of the most powerful people in Nigeria had been coming to this forest to swear oaths over stolen money and political deals. If you swear on Ogwugwu and break your oath, the priests come for you. 31 shrine priests were arrested and paraded in Abuja. Not one politician was questioned. Not one governor was charged. Chris Ngige later became a Senator. Then a Minister under Buhari. The shrine is still there. This is Nigeria. 🇳🇬
