So let me get this straight… •$40 billion spent •300+ Americans wounded •Over a dozen killed •Oil prices doubled •U.S. bases severely damaged And what do we get? Iran keeps its uranium. No nuclear deal. The Strait of Hormuz still unstable. And the world sees us as weaker, not stronger. Sounds about right for a Trump deal.

Trump believes he is threatening Iran with destruction, but it is America that now stands in danger. If he attempts to eradicate Iranian civilization, the United States will no longer be viewed as a stabilizing force in the world, but as an agent of chaos—effectively ending our status as the world’s greatest superpower. This would upend our economy and shatter the global order. The process is already underway, yet we still have time to avert catastrophe if Trump finds the courage to pursue serious negotiations rather than reckless rage and destruction.

Generally try & avoid reacting to Trump's posts on Truth Social because they are often mad & reacting feels like giving him what he wants. But it's frightening living through a time when the most powerful man in the world says things like 'a whole civilisation will die tonight'.

Madman Theory? Trump got summits with “little rocket man” Kim Jong Un last time around, but never in all my years reporting America at war have I heard anything like this: an American president threatens to destroy a “whole civilization” and says it’ll take 100 years to rebuild. Striking Tehran’s Grand Bazaar, Israel warning people to avoid trains and stations, Trump threatening whole power grids, desalination plants, the nation’s bridges… Is this war still against the Iranian regime or now against a whole people?

Trump again threatening to destroy Iran’s bridges and power plants. His aides are presumably telling him for a 2nd time that will = Iran torching the Gulf neighbours’ gas, oil, desalination plants etc etc. = even bigger energy crisis = midterm disaster for GOP=impeachment of him

Any other President, any other country, and the expectation would be that this person would be removed from their post as clearly unfit for office.
