Let it be clearly understood: the Supreme Court is now fully seized of this matter. The PDP has filed a competent appeal alongside motions seeking a stay of execution and injunctive orders to restrain all actions connected to the disputed judgment — including the conduct of any convention. This means one thing: the entire process being pushed by the Wike camp stands on shaky and uncertain legal ground. The issues before the Supreme Court are fundamental — bordering on jurisdiction, legality, and the validity of the very actions being hurriedly pursued. In law, once such questions are before the apex court, any attempt to rush ahead and create irreversible outcomes is not only questionable but amounts to an abuse of court process. The planned convention is a clear example of such desperation. Let no one be deceived: Any convention conducted under these circumstances is hanging on a legal cliff and is liable to be nullified at any time. Those who choose to participate must be ready to accept the consequences: • Their efforts may be rendered completely useless. • Any positions or decisions arising from that gathering may have no legal standing. • The entire exercise risks being declared null and void by the Supreme Court. No serious political actor invests in a process that may collapse overnight. We therefore strongly caution all delegates, stakeholders, and institutions to refrain from associating with this legally endangered exercise. Respect for the Supreme Court and the rule of law must prevail. The PDP will not stand by while its processes are dragged into illegality and uncertainty. The law will take its course — and when it does, only those who stood on the side of due process will remain standing. Be warned. Be guided.
