I honestly may not have much more for the NHL outside of this here, running Porter Martone with what has been an INSANE start to his NHL season.
The shit that Ive seen from this kid is generational, atleast for what we need. 2 NHL games played he has 5 and 9 SOG on 6 and 14 shots attempted. H is current volume shows him to be the highest volume shooter in the NHL - by far. Its 2 games but in those 2 games he leads the NHL in shots, he leads the NHL in shots attempted.
The Islanders are a good not great shot matchup, giving up the 11th most SOG per g ame in their L10 and middle of the pack vs forwards - love that we start at + money here for Martone today - going somewhat safer on the ladder though.
Good motivation for the kid as well, not only is PHI playing for their lives but he is looking for his first career NHL goal - think he keeps throwing pucks on net here.
You can just see this kid is a bull who tries to make something happen every shift, I love the mentality and think PHI continue to play desperate here.
