We have been saying this for many years! Europe wants Canadian energy with European companies exploring potential long-term contracts with Canada’s proposed Ksi Lisims LNG export terminal on the Pacific Coast. The world needs more Canadian energy! reuters.com/business/energ…

Since April 2020, the United States has spent $1.5 trillion on wind and solar. All that money for just 17% of the nation's energy mix. For the same cost, America could have built around 40 nuclear power plants. They'd run for 80 years, not 15 or 20 like wind and solar, and would generate at least three times more power each year. That's the real cost of believing the climate fantasy - enormous waste, destabilized grids, and spiraling energy costs.

Oil paper market trading volumes are increasing at an exponential rate, backed by algorithms that are very basic + simply follow each other. Expect more volatility, bigger daily moves, higher reaction to rumors, and short-term divergences to reality as this cycle continues. 🛢💰

Early Western Settlers in Canada were required build a home, and break at least 30 acres of land (create farmland) each year for 3 years, or they did not get ownership of the land No one was given the land for "free" they had to pay for it and contribute to retain ownership

GOLDSTEIN: Climate hysteria wasted our money, failed to reduce need for fossil fuels Canada is a case study in the failed and ruinously expensive global attempt to avoid what we’re inaccurately told is the 'existential' threat of climate change torontosun.com/opinion/column…

I do love when green campaigners produce a chart about coal demand trends with a tiny little footnote: (excludes China)

Let's just go there...the Strait "opens" today. What does it mean??? 🛢️global oil inventories will still go to record lows 🛢️we will still lose over 1BN barrels of production 🛢️refined product shortages/outages will persist for several quarters 🛢️SPR restocking will = ~0.3MM Bbl/d of new demand for the next 4 years (33% boost per year) Meanwhile, US shale will still be in its twilight, non-OPEC production will still be peaking, and OPEC spare capacity (adjusted) will still only be ~1.5MM Bbl/d, and whose value is less today than before given the potential for another disruption down the road. We are not going back to the old normal...expect a higher floor with an embedded political risk premium. The market may think the crisis is over...it's not.

Renewable electricity does not produce: petrol, diesel, bunker fuel, or jet fuel; it does not produce the feed stock for ammonia used to make fertilisers, or feedstocks for chemicals, pharmaceuticals or plastics; it does not produce bitumen, carbon fibres, armaments or ammunition; it does not produce the industrial heat needed to make cement, glass, aluminium, ceramics or steel. Claiming we shouldn't mine oil and gas in the UK because we won't be self sufficient is like suggesting we shouldn't produce any food because we won't be able to grow enough and would still need to import some. Caroline Lucas is NOT right.
Candice Holmes@hol40900

Caroline Lucas is right. North Sea output has collapsed, investment is falling off a cliff and new fields would take years to come online. Renewables already generate over half our electricity—and do it faster, cheaper, and without wrecking the climate.🌍

LNG spot prices in Asia hit US$19.35 per mmBTU on Tuesday, while Alberta benchmark natural gas prices closed at C$1.08 per mcf. "Canada should be a more material supplier of LNG to the world," says Cenovus CEO Jon McKenzie, chair of CAPP. calgaryherald.com/opinion/column… #ableg #yyc #yeg

Every month the Strait of Hormuz remains "closed" the world forfeits 360MM barrels of production. Put another way, each monthly loss of 12MM Bbl/d reduces supply by the equivalent of a 1MM Bbl/d ANNUAL loss. Very important to understand.

Several European governments are now learning — the hard way — why letting most of their national oil refining capacity to close was, how to put it, a bit of a mistake. (Another example of why shapping demand first, rather than supply, is important for the energy transition)
