Troops Rescue Kidnap Victim, One Vigilante Injured in Kwara Operation By Zagazola Makama Troops of the Nigerian Army have rescued a kidnapped victim during a combat patrol in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State. Security sources said the operation was carried out at about 10:20 a.m. on April 30 following intelligence on the abduction of a civilian at Vera village within the Tunga Maje forest. The sources disclosed that troops of the 244 Battalion, in collaboration with local vigilantes and forest guards, launched a fighting patrol to the area and engaged the kidnappers. According to the sources, the troops made contact with the suspects and, after a brief exchange of fire, successfully rescued the victim. They added that two motorcycles used by the suspects were recovered during the operation. The sources, however, said one vigilante sustained a gunshot wound during the encounter and was immediately evacuated for medical treatment. They noted that security operations are ongoing in the area to track down the fleeing suspects and prevent further criminal activities.

This documentary was really good. It shows how much of the investment and expansion in Lagos is driven by the government itself. Governor Jide truly deserves his flowers. I respect him a lot for the rail revolution alone,Blue Line, Red Line, and BRT, the kept systems that can generate billions yearly and keep Lagos economically strong even after he is gone. He really tried. However, as I said, his biggest drawback is the state of the environment. This road in frame 4 was built by Craneburg Construction Company in Alaro, Epe,and even by him..a well-built road with proper greenery and maintenance. He should have contracted the same landscapers to replicate this across the state, from Island to Mainland to suburbs,to match all these heavy investments. Lagos would look far better. That was what Gov Fashola did. Every morning, you would see people maintaining trees, cutting grasses, painting kerbs, and ensuring roads were smooth and shining. This is what Dr Hamzat must get right. His success will depend on strong environmental management, waste systems, and road maintenance. If not it will affect his performance, for a man that is super brilliant He needs to go out and headhunt, just like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu headhunted him back then because he wanted the best. He should bring in the right experts in landscaping, waste management, road marking, and rehabilitation so he can outperform and build on what has already been done. So it doesn’t downplay his work, because like I said one time, if he gets just these four sectors right in Lagos, we have hit the jackpot with him. When it comes to intelligence and investment, he is A1 too. @drobafemihamzat @jidesanwoolu @followlasg 📺: The Builders of Mordern Lagos Documentary

The Renewed Hope National Media Tour for the North West zone has officially kicked off, ushering in a fresh era of governance that prioritises transparency, verifiable results, and genuine accountability to the Nigerian people. Launched in Abuja by the Presidential Communications Team in partnership with the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, the tour’s inaugural leg began with Kaduna State as its first destination. This is far more than a ceremonial visit or a high-altitude photo opportunity. It is a deliberate, on-the-ground exercise: a hands-on inspection of ongoing projects, a real-time documentation of tangible progress, and a conscious bridge between national policies and the everyday realities of citizens. The entire delegation is travelling by road in vehicles powered by Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), supplied under the Presidential CNG and Electric Vehicles Initiative in collaboration with Jet Motors. This choice is not symbolic—it is a living demonstration of Nigeria’s clean energy transition, moving from policy papers to practical action on the nation’s highways. The first major stop was the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano Highway corridor. The team drove through and thoroughly inspected the newly completed 108-kilometre stretch from Tungan-Maje in Abuja to Jere in Kaduna. A route that was once notorious for endless delays and frustration is rapidly transforming into a vibrant artery of movement, trade, and renewed economic confidence. From there, the delegation moved on to the Nnamdi Azikiwe Kaduna Western Bypass. Although the project was awarded in 2021, significant construction momentum only truly accelerated in 2023 under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The dual carriageway—spanning 21.47 kilometres per lane—is engineered to ease chronic traffic congestion within Kaduna metropolis while opening up fresh economic corridors for growth and connectivity. Yet this tour is about far more than infrastructure alone. It represents a determined effort to rebuild trust between government and citizens by showing the work in progress, rather than merely talking about it. As the Renewed Hope National Media Tour continues across the various states of the North West—and eventually beyond—it will keep documenting, verifying, and presenting the unvarnished reality of Nigeria’s expanding investments in infrastructure, energy, and social development that are quietly reshaping the country’s future.

They’re empowering families by distributing clean, smoke-reducing cooking stoves that cut fuel costs big time, plus solar home systems that finally bring reliable electricity to homes and small businesses. Huge respect to @KSHalilu for using science and engineering to bridge the energy gap and deliver practical solutions. This is policy that truly improves lives one household at a time. Well done @KSHalilu

APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Commends Niger State’s Agricultural Drive as 2026 Farming Season Kicks Off The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, on Saturday joined Niger State Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago and other stakeholders in Minna for the official flag-off of the 2026 farming season. Prof. Yilwatda described the ceremony as a major milestone in Nigeria’s ongoing efforts to achieve food security and build economic resilience through agriculture. He particularly lauded the Niger State Government’s intervention, which includes the distribution of critical farming equipment and inputs: 50 combine harvesters, 250 tractors, 1,500 ploughing and other farming implements, and 150,000 bags of fertilizer. “This bold investment speaks directly to productivity and prosperity for our people,” the APC National Chairman said. The event received further prominence with the attendance of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who served as Special Guest of Honour. Her presence, according to Prof. Yilwatda, underscored the Federal Government’s commitment under the Renewed Hope Agenda to empower smallholder farmers, strengthen agricultural value chains, and make farming the cornerstone of national development. The flag-off is expected to signal the commencement of active farming activities across the state for the new season.

Wether standard or not doesn't matter. The fact is; Buhari took a $3.4bn IMF loan, and Tinubu has now cleared it. Attempts to downplay this achievement by BAT won’t stand. It’s a win for Buhari’s legacy, a win for the Tinubu administration, and ultimately a win for Nigerians.
Kalu Aja@FinPlanKaluAja1

The IMF loan Buhari took was not a standard IMF loan; it was a COVID-19 support package given to all nations. Nigeria does not take IMF loans
