Today at 35 years old, I sit at over £700k net worth. 10 years ago I was close to £0. Here are my 16 steps I've taken to get there. I hope they are helpful to someone ↓

Over 2 million Brits are now stuck in the £100k tax trap, keeping just 38p of every extra £1 they earn above £100k (after tax & NI). At this point, does it even make financial sense for anyone on £100k+ to chase a higher salary? Or is building wealth through investing, side hustles, and tax-efficient routes now the smarter play?

Biggest beginner investing mistake I see: Buying individual stocks before you own a single index fund. You don't have an edge over institutional investors. Neither do I. Buy the whole market first. Be boring. Build wealth. Then explore.

@ItsJamesHall Most physicians I know need to hear this more than anyone. The income solves nothing if the spending grows at the same pace. The ones who actually build wealth treated their first attending paycheck as a data point, not a finish line.

"You don't have an income problem, you have a spending problem." Painful to hear. Even more painful to ignore. People who actually build wealth don't take it personally. They take it as information. Control spending. Invest the difference. Watch it compound.

One of the most powerful spending habits you can build: stop telling yourself you "deserve it."

In 2022–23, the sharp rise in mortgage rates pushed 320,000 Brits into poverty. Is stretching for a bigger mortgage one of the riskiest financial moves you can make?

UK Share Incentive Plan (SIP) participants saved £370 million in tax/NIC last year. The other 71% left free shares & employer matching on the table. If your employer is offering a SIP, it's a no-brainer for building wealth. Agree or disagree?

The Bank of England has confirmed today they will hold the UK base rate at 3.75%. What does this mean for Brits? ✅ Low fixed mortgage: good 😐 Variable mortgage: rate stays the same 😐 Cash ISA/savings: interest rate stays similar ❌ New borrowing: not getting cheaper ❌ Big variable mortgage: bad (higher costs persist) ❌ New home buyer: bad (affordability tough) Stability for now. But not much help for those wanting to borrow. If your mortgage is coming up for renewal, would you go fixed or variable? 👇

The Monetary Policy Committee voted 7-2 to keep the interest rate at 3.75%. Find out more: bankofengland.co.uk/monetary-polic…

The narrative around AI is shifting. First @JeffBezos said AI could lead to labor shortages, not surpluses. Then @sama walked back his own job-loss predictions, while floating ideas like using AI revenues to fund a new kind of sovereign wealth fund. As Jensen Huang says here: the best predictor of the future is the past. Humans have always adapted, and built new, better jobs out of the wreckage of old ones. I'm bullish on our ability to keep finding problems worth solving. We're at the start of something that could bring unfathomable prosperity. The road won't be easy. Displacement breeds uncertainty, and re-skilling takes real effort and support. But if we work hard, stay good to each other, and help people through the hard parts — we come out the other side stronger. We always have.
DogeDesigner@cb_doge

BREAKING: Jensen Huang says the biggest mistake people make about AI is seeing it as a threat, instead of a tool to amplify human potential. AI won’t destroy human jobs but will rebuild American industry & create a massive new wave of builders, technicians, engineers, & makers.

5 questions to ask yourself before any big purchase: 1. Do I need this or is it a temporary want? 2. Does this align with my goals and values? 3. What else could this money be doing for me? 4. Will I still be happy with this purchase in 30 days? 5. Can I afford this without affecting my emergency fund? Save this post. Next time you buy something, answer all 5 and see how much you really want it.
