@Acyn "In 2009, journalist Amanda Terkel reported that she was followed, harassed, and ambushed by Jesse Watters, a producer for Bill O'Reilly's Fox News show, The O'Reilly Factor. The incident occurred while Terkel was on vacation, following her reporting on criticisms of O'Reilly"

Watters: It’s like a sick little club. They get a little power. Half the week they are away from home surrounded by staff half their age who want to climb the ladder. They’re doing TV hits getting a little fame. People who are not standup guys take advantage.

🔥 100% RIGHT. Mike Johnson isn’t attacking faith—he’s defending common sense. If Pope Francis steps into political debates, he doesn’t get a free pass from criticism. You can’t lecture the world on war, morality, and policy, then act shocked when people push back. That’s not how it works. And let’s be real—the concept of “just war” has existed for centuries. Ignoring that while making blanket statements? That’s not leadership, that’s messaging. Respect goes both ways. 🇺🇸

Mike Johnson says the Pope had it coming: "A religious leader can say anything they want, but obviously if you wade into political waters, you should expect some political response and I think the Pope has received some of that. Frankly I was taken a bit aback by him saying something about 'those who engage in war, Jesus doesn't hear their prayers' or something. There's something called the 'just war' doctrine.'"

The silent hero who saved Jewish children with mime. Marcel Marceau — the world’s greatest mime — was once Marcel Mangel, a Jewish teenager in Nazi-occupied France. Born in 1923 in Strasbourg, his father Charles (a kosher butcher) was arrested by the Gestapo in 1944 and murdered in Auschwitz. As a teen (ages 16–21), Marcel joined the French Resistance with his brother and cousin Georges Loinger. He helped rescue at least 70–100+ Jewish children, smuggling them to safety in Switzerland. He forged identity documents, disguised the children as boy scouts on a “camping trip,” and led them on dangerous hikes across the border. The kids were terrified. One sound could mean discovery and death. So Marcel used his emerging talent for performance: he mimed stories, made funny faces, and acted out silent scenes to distract and calm them — keeping them completely quiet. He later said: “I cried every time we succeeded.” For 60 years after the war, he rarely spoke about it. He wanted to be remembered for his art, not his heroism. He created the iconic “Bip the Clown,” toured the world, influenced artists like Michael Jackson, and mastered the “art of silence.” In 2001, at age 78, he finally revealed his wartime story. Marcel Marceau died in 2007 at 84. He is remembered as the master of mime — poetry without words. But he was also a teenage hero who risked everything to save Jewish children from the Holocaust using nothing but silence and expression. True courage often speaks without a sound. Remember Marcel Marceau — not just for the silence, but for the lives he saved. May his memory be a blessing.❤️

From @TheAthletic: A statue of a Texas Ranger was removed from the Dallas airport because it was believed to be based on a ranger known for enforcing school segregation. The Texas Rangers then gave this controversial statue a home at their ballpark.  nyti.ms/4eoMjaH

@atrupar The pope is not a man of God. If that offends you and you try to defend him, you are on the side of a losing argument. Satan infiltrated the Vatican many, many, many years ago.

@do_gently That's not a news channel. It's Murdoch, propaganda. Never been anything else. Not that those who think themselves journalists here do better but Maria Bartiromo is simply a shill

@atrupar This is why so-called journalists in the US are useless. There is no real pushback. UK journalists know their facts, push back and grill MPs and leaders

a very confused Trump: "Look at Justice Ginsburg. She was not exactly a young woman. The election was taken. They had a Democrat who could've appointed a liberal justice. About two minutes after the election, she went out." (Ginsburg died in September 2020, when Trump was president.)
