Widely scattered thunderstorms will be capable of .5-.75"/hr rates and localized totals of 1.5-2". Flash flooding is possible across northern Ohio, western & central PA, and southwest NY.

A tornado watch has been issued for parts of Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia until 11 PM EDT

Scattered severe thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening across parts of the Midwest and Ohio Valley. Large to very large hail, a few tornadoes, and severe/damaging winds all appear likely.

A Red Flag Warning is issued when critical fire weather conditions are happening or about to happen. It does not necessarily mean there is a fire, but that conditions will be very dry and windy. If a fire is present, it can become extreme! Avoid activities that could spark a wildfire! weather.gov

The NWS Storm Prediction Center has increased the Severe Weather Outlook to an Enhanced Risk (Category 3 of 5) for parts of the Ohio Valley tomorrow (Thursday). The strongest storms will be capable of producing large hail, damaging wind gusts, and a few tornadoes. For the latest: spc.noaa.gov

Isolated thunderstorms are evolving at the intersection of an east/west-oriented front and the sea breeze in parts of central FL this afternoon. A strong storm or two may pose a risk of marginally severe hail (around 1 inch in diameter) and locally damaging gusts through the afternoon.
