I just watched a video of a young man from South Lebanon who stepped out of a car in the middle of the road & ran into a field, a few metres away, before a drone struck him there. He ran so as not to put anyone around him in danger, & ran straight into his death, deliberately, before ascending as a Martyr. The truth is that “Israel” has been hunting the best of us down because they dare defend us, our land, & our freedom, & because they have chosen to stand in the way of its expansionist project, rather than passively waiting on the empty illusion of negotiations we have been fed for eight decades. No one can, in seriousness, distort reality & claim otherwise, & argue that anything short of a firm refusal to accept “Israel” as a fait accompli imposed over our dead bodies is the reason behind our community’s political & military organisation.

Despite the ceasefire having been in effect for about 20 minutes, the Israeli army artillery is still shelling the towns of Khiam and Dbeibine, while simultaneously conducting sweeps with machine guns in the area.

This afternoon the young man seen running from the vehicle received a call from the Israeli army telling him he could die alone or die with his family in the car. He ran from the vehicle into a field and was struck and killed by an Israeli drone. This is not the first time that the Israeli army has used this tactic. It is pure barbarism. Abject terrorism.

Israel deliberately bombed The only operational hospital in the frontline villages of the southern regions in Lebanon where the Israeli attacks are relentless. Also targeted first responders and their ambulances. Israel destroyed the final bridge to Southern Lebanon, in Burj Rahal. Civilians can't flee. Ambulances cannot reach the wounded or the hospitals on the other side. Laying siege cruelly cut off all fuel from entering, with threats to bomb aid trucks and medical vehicles heading south. Entire communities are cut off from essential supplies. Israel blew up a public school in Marwahin, South Lebanon, which had been officially reported as not being used for military purposes. Israel deliberately targets civilians and civilian infrastructure in Lebanon. These are clear war crimes, and war crimes beget war crimes with total impunity.

Israel is systematically wiping out bridge after bridge in South Lebanon. Not military sites. Lifelines. No escape for civilians. No access for ambulances. No food. No medicine. No way out. What you’re witnessing is deliberate isolation of civilian populations. Terrorism.
