"I’m sorry, but I just don’t see it. That is never a penalty in a million years. You look at Ben White there he’s not even jumping, he’s simply standing his ground and sticking a leg out to make a block. When you move like that, your arms have to go somewhere; they were just dangling in a completely natural position for a player in that motion.
The ball is hit with such pace from point-blank range that there’s zero time to react. This is precisely why VAR is there to detect such obvious errors and see the context of the movement, not to punish a player for having limbs. To call that an 'unnatural' position is a joke. For me, it’s a shocking decision that has massively hindered Arsenal in a game of this magnitude. Atlético have been handed a gift they didn't earn."
